The Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Drew Taggart honored the late Avicii during the Billboard Music Awards on May 20

They told the thousands gathered at Las Vegas’ Grand Garden Arena that Avicii was “an artist who inspired so many in so many ways and meant so much to us and the EDM community.

Avicii took his own life on April 20 at the age of 28.

The Chainsmokers, an American DJ and production duo, later in the ceremony won the award for Top Dance/Electronic Act and mentioned Avicii when they accepted the prestigious award.

“We wanna dedicate this award to Avicii. … He is someone who made us believe that this is something we could do with our lives,” Taggart said.

Taggart said Avicii inspired many artists and had an influence on their music and pop music in general.

Alex Pall was born and raised in Westchester, New York and worked at an art gallery in Manhattan as his day job while working as a DJ by night when he met his manager Adam Alpert. He was then introduced to Drew Taggert and formed The Chainsmokers. Based in Los Angeles, Alex is a songwriter and pianist.

Drew Taggart grew up in Freeport, Maine. He studied music business at Syracuse University where he studied music business. A talented songwriter and producer, Drew lends his talents to other artists when he is not touring with Alex as The Chainsmokers.

The Chainsmokers hit the top 20 in several countries with their breakout hit, “#Selfie.” The duo’s first EP was released in October of 2015 and featured the song, “Roses,” which made the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100. During the 59th Grammy Awards ceremony, the Chainsmokers took home a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for their first top-five single, “Don’t Let Me Down.”

The Chainsmokers are currently on tour and have performances scheduled in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Las Vegas, and even Japan.

DIY Clothing With School Supplies

https:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJWP1QLW-ds

In this DIY video, Wengie makes awesome clothing with simple school supplies. She begins by turning a tee into a tank. Grab an old t-shirt that you love and cut off the sleeves. You can stop here or also cut a lower neck. Gather the back of the tank top and tie a loop around the fabric, adding in a super cute bunched back.

Now that you have a top, you’ll need bottoms. Wengie teaches viewers how to make colorful highlighter shorts. Using a pair of denim shorts, she bleaches out the shorts with a sponge. Then she washes the shorts in the washer prior to highlighting. Next, she pours warm water into a bowl and then squeezes the highlighter juice into the water. Then she dabs the highlighter onto the bleached area of the shorts. Allow the shorts to dry in the sun or in the dryer.

Now that you have you a shirt and shorts, you’ll need some shoes so you can go out into the world. So, Wengie teaches viewers how to make Sharpie shoes. Grab a pair of plain white canvas shoes and some colored sharpies. Color in different colors all over the shoes. Follow this by taking some rubbing alcohol and pouring it all over the shoes to blend the colors together. Use a q-tip to rub colors as needed. Complete the galaxy look by spraying white paint on. You can also paint in more defined stars. Lace your shoes up and you’re ready to go!
